Relay Access Port

The RM 2322 offers an uncomplicated and intuitive process for replacing relays, which you'll appreciate for its remarkable convenience.

Getting to the mechanical relays is a breeze – just take off the access plate. This does away with the intricate tasks of dealing with internal wiring or the inconvenience of removing the control panel. This direct method is a significant benefit, particularly when tackling the unavoidable mechanical relay concerns. If you choose a different option than the robust Quiet Drive Solid State Relay suggested by Pottery Pulse, this user-centric feature is sure to improve your kiln experience.

Full Stainless Steel Jackets

The strategy of segmenting kilns into multiple sections and jackets initially aimed at cutting production costs and facilitating assembly. While these intentions are admirable, this design often results in a diminished structural integrity of the kiln, a compromise Evenheat consciously chooses to avoid.

Evenheat's commitment to top-tier quality shines through in their kilns, each rigorously assembled with a unified stainless steel jacket stretching from the bottom to the top. This precise construction method ensures remarkable strength and longevity, creating a kiln that staunchly stands up to leaks, instability, and structural deficiencies. Choose Evenheat, where kilns are not just assembled, but intricately crafted with complete stainless jackets, representing the ultimate in build quality and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

The RM 2322 presents a varied range of control options such as the Icon, RampMaster II, Icon+, and Tap II, each meticulously tailored to meet your specific needs.

Say goodbye to the frequent issues and expensive upkeep typically linked to mechanical relays.

Introducing the revolutionary Quiet Drive Solid State Relay System by Evenheat, a marvel of technological advancement distinguished by its absence of mechanical parts, promising an enduring, maintenance-free operation. Experience its stellar performance, offering precise and regulated heating that consistently yields superior results.

Understanding Relays: Solid-state relays (SSRs) stand as a robust and dependable substitute for conventional mechanical relays, which depend on moving metal contacts and an electromagnet. SSRs employ a solid semiconductor block, devoid of any moving parts, thereby eliminating physical wear and significantly improving temperature control in kilns.

Benefit 1 - Sustained Operation: The longevity of SSRs is unmatched. Without the mechanical wear and electrical sparking typical of mechanical relays, they far outlive their traditional counterparts. The familiar clicking noise from a kiln, signaling the operation of mechanical relays, inevitably leads to wear and subsequent costly repairs. Conversely, Evenheat's SSRs operate silently and reliably, providing durability that matches the lifespan of your kiln or oven.

Benefit 2 - Supreme Temperature Precision: Mechanical relays are limited in cycling frequency, striking a balance between control effectiveness and relay longevity, usually cycling every 10 to 14 seconds. SSRs, on the other hand, can cycle up to 120 times per second, allowing for faster adjustments and unmatched temperature accuracy. Every Evenheat control, including the now-standard Icon controller that supersedes the previous Set-Pro, utilizes the rapid cycling of SSRs to ensure extraordinary temperature precision.

Benefit 3 - Prolonged Heating Element Life: Solid-state relays employ Zero Crossing technology, switching on and off precisely at the zero-voltage point in AC power cycles. This significantly prolongs the life of heating elements by ensuring they function at the ideal voltage, minimizing wear compared to mechanical relays that lack this precision.

Design Perfection - 30 Amp Capacity: Evenheat deliberately chooses SSRs rated for 30 amps but operates them at a conservative 15 amps, allowing a significant safety margin for consistent, dependable performance. This practice ensures that the SSRs comfortably function within their derating curve, even with a 15-amp load, promoting cool operation and enhanced longevity, reflecting Evenheat's dedication to superior design.

Design Perfection - Externally Mounted SSR Heatsinks: Efficient cooling is crucial for the lifespan of SSRs. Evenheat addresses this by mounting the SSR heatsinks externally, facilitating airflow and averting heat accumulation within the control enclosure. This design prevents heat transfer between the control enclosure and the SSRs, supported by standoffs that create an air gap for cooling. This intentional design guarantees the optimal operation of the SSRs, evidenced by an impressive track record of zero failures over six years.
