Proper ventilation is crucial for gas kilns

This is especially true when used indoors. Olympic Kilns offers stainless and galvanized steel gas vent hoods for both updraft and downdraft gas kilns. These square-designed vents feature a 10″ diameter opening at the top to accommodate a non-flammable double-walled exhaust pipe, which can extend outside through the wall or ceiling.

For DownDraft kilns with the vent option, an iron frame is installed at the top exterior of the kiln, allowing the vent to be attached once the kiln is in place. Vents are shipped separately and have an estimated shipping weight of 200 lbs.
