Olympic Kilns

Celebrating over Half a Century of Innovation with Olympic Kilns

Since its inception in Seattle, Washington, back in 1972 by the visionary Bob Haugen, Olympic Kilns has stood at the vanguard of kiln innovation and design. The company, initially a small venture, rapidly blossomed, revolutionizing the art of kiln construction with its pioneering gas and electric models.

Within just five years, Olympic Kilns uprooted to Redmond, Washington, and then made a strategic leap in 1982 to Atlanta, Georgia, aligning itself with the hub of materials and a burgeoning market. The Olympic legacy continued with Rob Haugen stepping into the fold in 1991, cementing a family tradition that would carry the company into the future.

The relentless growth in Atlanta propelled a relocation to a state-of-the-art, 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Flowery Branch, Georgia in 1997, which remains Olympic's proud base of operations.

Renowned for embracing challenges and pushing the boundaries of what's possible, Olympic Kilns has crafted numerous bespoke electric and gas kilns, with many of these custom designs integrating into their standard offering. Over the decades, Olympic has met the needs of a diverse spectrum of fields, from pottery and ceramics to glass art, knife-making, and beyond. This has led to an expansive commercial line of large capacity kilns catering to industrial, manufacturing, research, and scientific needs, with an impressive clientele including illustrious names like Kohler, Space-X, NASA, Harshaw Chemicals, and the U.S. Air Force.

As it marked the 50th anniversary of Olympic Kilns in 2022, it not only celebrates a rich history of kiln building excellence but also honors you, their customer. Your needs and aspirations have always been the catalyst for their innovations. Bob, Rob, and the dedicated team at Olympic Kilns remain committed to excellence, crafting an extensive range of gas and electric kilns that hundreds of artists and manufacturers trust.

They look to the future with optimism, ready to continue meeting the ever-evolving demand for Olympic's acclaimed kilns.

All of this is why Pottery Pulse is proud to market and sell the Olympic Kilns portfolio.
