Controllers

The Cube 7 is available with your choice of the Icon, RampMaster 3, or TAP II temperature controllers.

RampMaster 3 controller interface - as found on an Evenheat Cube 7 HTO Tap 2 controller interface - as found on an Evenheat Cube 7 HTO

The Icon, born from the innovative Bartlett Spark platform, disrupts the industry by delivering advanced touchscreen technology at an affordable price point. It's the controller that comes as standard with the Cube 7.

In the latter part of 2023, the Icon, built upon Bartlett Industry's new Spark platform, underwent extensive field testing by Bartlett, Evenheat, and industry experts. The results were impressive: programming was found to be intuitive, touchscreen interactions received top marks, and, as expected, the Quiet Drive Solid State relay performed flawlessly, concluding the tests successfully.

In line with Evenheat's commitment to enhancing control designs, the Icon improves upon the Spark platform by introducing features like Special Limits thermocouples for unmatched temperature accuracy and non-metallic faceplates to boost Wi-Fi connectivity for the Bartlett online app. The Icon sets a new benchmark in the industry, delivering exceptional performance and value.

The TAP II Controller shines as the premier selection in Evenheat's lineup of temperature controllers, featuring an expansive screen and an intuitive layout. The process of setting and executing firing schedules is remarkably fluid and straightforward. The advanced engineering within the TAP II ensures consistent, accurate results, especially when integrated with the Quiet Drive Solid State Relay system.

The TAP II is fitted with Special Limits thermocouples, assuring extremely precise temperature readings. Its non-metallic faceplates also contribute to superior Wi-Fi reception, offering smooth and uninterrupted connectivity with the SDS online app.

Choose the TAP II for a seamless, efficient control experience. Connect with the app and set off on a journey of streamlined and precise temperature management.

The RampMaster 3, developed from Bartlett Instruments' V6-CF platform, is meticulously designed for glasswork but is also highly effective in heat treating applications. It is an excellent option for those who prefer a classic interface, featuring user-friendly buttons and a clear display for easy operation.

Upholding the high standards of Evenheat, the RampMaster 3 is equipped with a Special Limits thermocouple for accurate temperature readings. In combination with the Quiet Drive Solid State relay system, the RampMaster 3 delivers outstanding performance while retaining a straightforward, traditional interface. This controller is an ideal match for craftsmen and artisans who value a mix of classic ease-of-use and modern technology.

Quiet Drive Solid State Relay

Bid adieu to the frequent troubles and costly repairs associated with mechanical relays.

Solid State Relays found on Evenheat cube 7 hto

Welcome the groundbreaking Quiet Drive Solid State Relay System by Evenheat, an epitome of innovation with its absence of moving parts, guaranteeing an enduring, maintenance-free lifespan. Enjoy the system's exceptional performance, providing precise and controlled heating that consistently delivers top-notch results.

Relays Demystified: Solid state relays (SSRs) stand as a sturdy and reliable substitute for traditional mechanical relays, which operate with movable metal contacts and a magnet coil activated by electricity. SSRs leverage a compact semiconductor block devoid of any moving components, eradicating physical deterioration and significantly enhancing kiln temperature control.

Advantage 1 - Perpetual Operation: The lasting nature of SSRs is undisputed. Free from the physical decay of moving components and electrical sparking, they surpass the lifespan of conventional relays significantly. The repetitive clicking from a kiln, indicative of mechanical relays at work, eventually leads to wear and the necessity for costly repairs. Conversely, Evenheat's SSRs deliver a silent and steadfast operation that endures in tandem with your kiln or oven.

Advantage 2 - Unmatched Temperature Precision: Mechanical relays have a limited cycling frequency to strike a balance between control efficacy and relay lifespan, typically one cycle every 10 to 14 seconds. SSRs, however, function at an astounding rate of 120 cycles per second, facilitating quicker adjustments and unparalleled temperature accuracy. All Evenheat controls, including the now standard Icon that replaces the previous basic Set-Pro controller, exploit the rapid cycling of SSRs to achieve unmatched temperature precision.

Advantage 3 - Prolonged Heating Element Life: Solid state relays utilize Zero Crossing technology, activating and deactivating precisely at the 0V juncture of AC power variations. This feature considerably extends the longevity of heating elements by ensuring they function at optimal voltage, thereby minimizing wear in comparison to mechanical relays without this technology.

Excellence by Design - 30 Amp Rating: Evenheat meticulously selects SSRs with a 30-amp rating but operates them at only 15 amps, offering a generous margin for consistent, dependable performance. This method ensures the SSRs operate well within their derating curve even at a 15 amp load, promoting cool operation and durability, a testament to Evenheat's commitment to excellence.

Excellence by Design - Externally Mounted SSR Heatsinks: Adequate cooling is essential for the longevity of SSRs. Evenheat achieves this by externally mounting the SSR heatsinks, enhancing air circulation and preventing heat build-up within the control enclosure. This arrangement avoids heat transfer between the control enclosure and SSR, aided by standoffs that create an air gap for cooling. This careful design ensures optimal performance of the SSRs, supported by an impressive six-year track record of zero failures.

Power Interrupt Switch

The Power Interrupt Switch removes power from all heating elements as the door is opened and re-applies power as the door is closed.

The switch used for this feature is a true safety switch and is designed specifically for safety applications. This safety switch will literally tear apart and open any welded or stuck contacts - true safety!
