2-Position Lid Vent
The GTS 24 features a convenient 2-position lid vent system.
In the lower vent position, the lid is propped open by about an inch, making it ideal for venting adhesives and other low-temperature binding materials.
In the upper vent position, the lid opens by about 4 inches, providing an efficient way to speed up the cooling process.
Relay Access Port
The GTS 24 is equipped with a convenient Relay Access Port for easy, no-panel removal relay replacement, a critical design element even for a kiln that comes standard with a Solid State Relay.
That's because solid-state units feature a mechanical relay that serves as a critical safety component.
This thoughtful design is both innovative and highly practical. Since solid-state systems are never fully on or off by nature, they can produce a minimal, almost imperceptible leakage current to the elements. The mechanical relay addresses this by physically breaking the circuit, completely eliminating any potential leakage. It operates only twice per firing cycle: once at the beginning to allow current to flow and once at the end to fully cut off the current.
