This size oven allows you to do multiple blades at once to be as efficient as possible. Take the guess work out of planning around outsourced Heat Treating and do it in house. Built in the USA, with the highest quality components, and engineered by makers for makers. Hot Shot is excited to offer an oven that not only is cool to the touch, but also offers an industry leading mechanical design.

Hot Shot ovens and kilns are equipped with Patent Pending Cool-Touch Fan Cooling Technology that provides a safe external temperature to allow for safer operation and protection of its surroundings. Each oven comes with a removable high density kiln floor. This is ideal to assist with project setup or if it needs to be replaced. It features a dual layer air plenum for external heat management and precise temperature control.
When choosing your Hot Shot oven, you have the option to select the standard built-in NOVUS Controller or upgrade to either the Genesis Spark or TAP Pro Controller. Below is a comparison of these controllers to help you choose the best one for your needs.
Novus Controller
The Novus N1030T SET & GO provides precise temperature control with its advanced PID algorithm, ensuring consistent and reliable performance. Its user-friendly "SET & GO" design simplifies operation—just set the desired temperature, and the controller takes care of heating and maintaining it. A built-in timer adds flexibility for various temperature control tasks. Combining dependable functionality with affordability, the N1030T SET & GO is a versatile solution, standard for the HS-360T tempering oven.
Genesis Spark Controller
The Genesis Spark is a versatile touchscreen controller designed to precisely manage kiln temperatures for firing a wide range of materials, including metals, ceramics, and jewelry. It features industry-specific presets and supports 30 customizable programs. With built-in Wi-Fi, this controller offers seamless software updates, diagnostic tools, maintenance logs, and automatic PID adjustments. The Bartlett KilnAid app lets you monitor your kiln remotely, providing real-time alerts to ensure optimal performance.
TAP Controller
The TAP Pro controller is a cutting-edge, full-color touchscreen controller that offers extensive programmability and ease of use. It can store an unlimited number of firing programs, which can be easily set up directly on the screen or through the free TAP mobile app. Every Hot Shot Pro oven is equipped with the TAP controller and built-in Wi-Fi, delivering an enhanced user experience. The TAP app allows you to create and monitor programs in real-time, set up notifications, view detailed firing logs, and receive push notifications. The TAP controller also lets you track maintenance schedules and make real-time adjustments to running programs.
The HS-1200K comes in either a 15amp/120volt or 20amp/240 volt version. The 15 amp is your standard at-home outlet.

Therefore when choosing a kiln/oven we highly recommend you check your power requirements first. We recommend making sure you have the proper outlet and, if not, to check with a professional about adding an outlet into your work area. DO NOT use extension cords in any situation!
Argon provides an inert atmosphere and is usually delivered at dew point less than -75°F with an oxygen content below 20 ppm. An atmosphere of Argon can be used for the following heat treatment processes:
- Annealing (non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and alloy steel)
- Brazing
- Sintering
Hot Shot offers this well designed and easily adaptable Argon kit for all your heat treating needs. Includes flow meter, tubing, fittings and ceramic dispensing needle. (Argon gas not included)
