A dedicated glass/ceramic switch toggles between lid-dominant heat for glass and side-element firing for clay, glazes, and casting materials. Fire glass up to 1700°F for fusing, slumping, and annealing, or ceramics up to 2150°F for bisque, low-fire, mid-range holds, and specialty glass casting techniques. Lid lifters come standard for easy, ergonomic lifting and safe use.

The kiln includes the Orton AutoFire 4000 12-button controller for reliable, programmable firing control, with options to upgrade to touchscreen interfaces for advanced profiles and modern workflow features.
