Dual firing modes let you choose between Glass Fusing and Glass Casting, each optimized for precision and efficiency. A built-in lid lifter makes operation smooth and effortless, even for tall or heavy molds.

This kiln includes the Orton AutoFire 4000 12-Key Controller as standard, offering reliable, accurate digital control. You can also upgrade to either:

  • Orton AutoFire Slide Touchscreen – modern, simplified programming with responsive touch navigation.

  • TAP II Touchscreen Smart Controller – Wi-Fi enabled with mobile access, data logging, and advanced firing management for professionals.

Firing Performance

In Glass Fusing mode, powerful top elements and side coils deliver even, radiant heat—ideal for large panels, bowls, and slumping projects.
Switch to Glass Casting mode for side-only firing up to 1,700°F, giving greater temperature precision and protecting lid elements from overexposure—perfect for casting and low-fire ceramics.

Optional Add-Ons
