The ceramic fiber lid features fully embedded top-mounted heating elements that deliver clean, even radiant heat across the firing surface. The pinless design eliminates dust and debris associated with traditional element pins while helping maintain a cleaner firing chamber. During firing, the lid is designed to float slightly as temperatures increase, helping maintain an effective seal between the lid and kiln body for efficient and consistent thermal performance.
Built for demanding studio environments, the CS19D features a painted steel lid cover with reinforced welded corners, a heavy-duty steel base, and a reversible firebrick floor designed for long service life. Three counterweight springs assist with smooth clamshell operation, while an extended rear support base provides stability whenever the kiln is open.
Control is provided by the SENTINEL Touch Xpress touchscreen controller with advanced Ramp-Hold programming capabilities. Easily create and store custom firing schedules, adjust heating and cooling rates, and monitor real-time kiln temperatures through the intuitive touchscreen interface.
